About Some Nintendo DS & Nintendo DS Lite AC Adapter Defect Occured.

According to Nintendo. Some Nintendo DS & Nintendo DS Lite AC Adapter (Around 200,000 - NDS 80,000 NDS Lite 120,000) which manufactured by Nagano Japan Radio co., ltd. (Nagano JRC) had some problem in manufacturing process and may cause AC Adapter to damage or in the rarely case, the plastic of AC Adapter will damage and cause smoking and get burnt. But the external plastic is fire-resistant material, so the possible to cause fire is little.

If you are using the target (JRC) AC adapter. For safety please exchange your AC adapter to new AC adapter.

1. Objective model.
AC Adapter which bundled with "Nintendo DS" and "Nintendo DS Lite"

2. How to distinguish the object item.


Distinguish by check the hallmark at back of AC adapter (plug side). If JRC, it's the object item.

Shipment time of object item.

Nintendo DS : January 2006 ~ June 2006
Nintendo DS Lite : July 2006 ~ October 2006

3. About Supporting and cooperating

If your AC adapter is "object item". You should change it by,

(1) Contact Nintendo Adapter Call Center
Free Dial No. 0120-210-557
About 1 week after contact, they will send new AC adapter and return your old AC adapter back via Yamato Transport.

(2) In order to charging before new AC adapter get in hand. Please pay your attention to the item below.
1. While charging Nintendo DS/DS Lite, please verify the charging lamp has lit up.


2. Please pull out the plug from the electrical outlet while not charging.

3. If you feel about trouble such as heat or smoke, please pull out the plug from the electrical outlet immediately. (For prevent get burnt, please pull out by using thick cloth)


4. Please do not place those which are inflammable around AC adapter.

5. Please be careful not to shock the AC Adapter such as falling.
